Consumer Services Department

Consumer Services Department is mandated as per the Consumer Protection Act 2010 to protect consumer’s rights from unconscionable, unfair, unreasonable, unjust, misleading, deceptive, fraudulent or otherwise improper trade practices of a service suppliers.

The department carries out its objective of protecting, promoting, and advancing the welfare of consumers by investigating and evaluating complaints lodged by Consumers against an alleged prohibited conduct of a service supplier. Furthermore, the department seeks to strengthen collaboration with other regulatory authority on matters of common interest and also participate in various advocacy program to empower the consumer with the necessary tools to make informed decisions.
